From the Composers {

Just like the show, the music on this album evoke a marriage of different styles
and cultures. We have taken bits and pieces from a wide variety of genres to create a
musical hybrid that is both visual and atmospheric. We drew the inspiration from tribal
music - that is, the sounds and instruments of different peoples around the world, from
North America's First Nations to the Incas and as far as the Indian subcontinent - and
incorporated it with our more contemporary sound. Enjoy the journey! — Bob & Bill

Having worked with me on a number of special events for Cirque du Soleil, Bob and
Bill - or MY BOYS as I like to call them - were ripe and ready for the great adventure
that is TOTEM. Their talent, adaptability and kindness were appreciated by all throughout
the entire creative process. Because they already had produced the KOOZA album, recording
the TOTEM one was an easy decision. I would like to give them my heartfelt thanks for
the opportunity to co-produce this album this incredible soundtrack which takes un on a
journey through traditional African, Native American, Spanish and Indian sounds brought
together with a modern twist. I would also like to join them and thank everyone mentioned
for trusting me so wholeheartedly in this creative adventure...
LONG LIVE TOTEM! — Alain Vinet
