Perched on his bike in the ring, French acrobat Angelo T. Ballan is the
personification of coordination, balance, strength and concentration. Things lots
of children dream of doing, like spinning on one wheel and balancing on his
handlebars, Angelo pulls off as if there was no such thing as gravity.
The "Tower of Wheels" cycle is so layered with passengers that it is almost
invisible as it glides smoothly around the ring. To emphasize the fact that a
single cyclist can be the equivalent of a one-man band, Angelo rides a bicycle
into the arena and takes no passengers. He flips, turns, spins on one wheel,
rides backwards and treats the vehicle as an extension of his own anatomy.
