Sara and Stephan entwine in a tantric, hand-balancing duet that
underscores the beauty of sex. Featuring a breath-taking array of Kama
Sutra-inspired maneuvers, their act portrays the discovery of a lover's
body with dramatic strength, flexibility and trust.
When the dust settles, a man and a woman emerge (Americans Stéphan
Choinière and Sara Joel) wearing skimpy costumes so that they appear
to be naked. The two perform an acrobatic dance/hand-to-hand act
called body2body. This act reminded me of the Statue act in Quidam
but with more fluid choreography and an intense sexual passion
expressed in the movement. As Joey Arias sings a love ballad to a
soft brass arrangement, the two dancers intertwine in a beautiful
expression of love.
Different from hand2hand in that this act uses many maneuvers
that require holding the bodies together in different shapes, whereas
hand2hand involves many maneuvers in which the partner is lifted up
using the hands and feet.
