For a bit during the first few legs of the Varekai North American tour, the
Aerial Straps performance gave way to the duo of Oleg Ouchakov (Russia) and Tatiana
Gousarova (Ukrane). Their act is "an acrobatic slow dance with lifts, twists and mid-air
spins and catches." Romance is the key to this act that is a "testimony to the danger of
movements." Their quick movements and quick drops to the stage floor flutter hearts and
keep us on the edge of our seat. Not to mention her flaming red hair! Both artists were
previously seen in the Banquine act in Quidam. The act is usually not performed anymore,
unless more than one act is out of the show. Acrobatic Pas de Deux is truly one of those
acts of the past.
